Good morning, Professors,

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself briefly.

My name is Guan Wei, and I graduated from Nanjing Normal University with a major in Chinese Language and Literature in 2002.

During my time at university, I achieved a Mandarin Level 1 Grade B certification and completed my internship at Nanjing No. 29 High School.

After graduation, I worked as a Chinese teacher at the high school affiliated with Nanjing University of the Arts for one year. These experiences significantly improved my teaching skills and my ability to communicate with students. To this day, several students still keep in touch with me.

In 2003, I moved to Shanghai, where I worked in magazine editing and public relations, serving international partners by writing articles and conducting live interviews in Chinese.

This included writing press releases for Long Yongtu, former Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. These experiences have made me very familiar with using Chinese in a variety of scenarios. I have also come to deeply appreciate the value of language skills.

In recent years, my son attends an international school, and I frequently help his foreign classmates with Mandarin tutoring. Their parents also occasionally ask me to review their business documents in Chinese. Sharing Chinese culture with them has become one of my favourite activities.

These experiences inspire me to pursue a career in international Chinese teaching. This is why I am striving to earn the most authoritative certification by taking this exam.

I hope to perform well today. Thank you for your time.
